A valid MOT test certificate becomes a legal requirement to drive on UK roads once a vehicle is three years old. This certificate must be renewed annually, and the annual test must be carried out by a garage authorised to do so by the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency.

The Class 4 MOT test checks:

• Lights
• Brakes
• Fuel system
• Exhaust system
• Mirrors
• Seatbelts
• Windscreen wipers

If your car should fail its Class 4 MOT test, our team have all the specialist tools and equipment needed to correct or fix what caused the failure and carry out a retest. At Castle Garage in Ashby, we also provide an advisory service, alerting you to things that may need to be looked at before the next test in 12 months’ time. Your test can be carried out up to one month before the expiry date.
